All facilities will be closed and any scheduled practices and activities are also canceled. Any changes to weekend extracurricular activities will be communicated by the group’s sponsor or coach.
GCISD’s 2024-2025 instructional calendar has a sufficient number of minutes to cover this weather-related closure and the days will not have to be made up. Have a safe and warm weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our staff and students back on Monday, January 13!

Last year, we reviewed the GCISD Emergency Response Protocol, but did you know that if there is a situation at your child's school, there are multiple ways to ensure you receive notification? To ensure you are informed, GCISD will send you text messages (for those who opted in during enrollment), emails and mobile app notifications, and post updates on district social media pages and websites.
