Congratulations to our staff leveling up!
A huge shoutout to the incredible teachers at Bear Creek Elementary! We're especially thrilled to highlight Mr. Millar and Ms. Ross, who are both making a remarkable impact in their first year at the Creek.
Mr. Millar, our fantastic fifth-grade teacher, is demonstrating exceptional dedication to his students. He's not only fostering a love for writing but also building a strong foundation in grammar. His hard work and commitment to meeting each student's needs are truly inspiring.
Ms. Ross, our amazing special education teacher, is a true asset to our second and fourth-grade students. Her ability to maximize her time in the classroom and her unwavering focus on helping students achieve their IEP goals is commendable. She seamlessly integrates support with academic content, ensuring every child can succeed. Plus, her positive and collaborative spirit makes her a wonderful addition to the Bear Creek family.
We're so fortunate to have such passionate and dedicated educators shaping the lives of our students. Thank you, Mr. Millar and Ms. Ross, for your hard work and positive impact!

Exciting moments from our Read Across the Creek program! The highlight was the thrilling reveal of our Masked Readers during the February pep rally. A huge thank you to Ms. Brosi for organizing a fantastic reading program that brought so much joy to our community!

Our dedicated school board member, Mary Humphrey, took the time to visit Bear Creek Elementary. She spent time engaging with students, teachers, and staff, gaining valuable insights into the daily life of our Cubs. It’s wonderful to see our leaders so committed to understanding and supporting our educational community. Thank you for your dedication and for being such a strong advocate for our students!

To kick off a week of literary fun for Read Across the Creek, Mrs. Brosi invited bestselling author Lyla Lee to Bear Creek! Lyla Lee inspired our 1st-4th grade Cubs to work hard, rely on friends and family, and believe in your dreams. Ask your Cub about the writing activity and how they are already writers!

The BCE Staff was treated this week! The Council of PTAs dropped off muffins on National Muffin Day for all the staff. The coffee cake muffins were delicious. On Friday, right before lunch, the BCE PTA delivered a Sonic drink for each member of the staff. We are so thankful for all the community support.

Say Hello to Ms. Ginette!
We have a new friend at Bear Creek! Please give a big, warm welcome to Ms. Ginette, our new custodian. She's here to help keep our school clean and bright. Ms. Ginette has worked in GCISD for a long time, and we're so happy she's joined our team. She always has a smile and a "can-do" attitude! When you see her in the lunchroom or hallways, make sure to introduce yourself and say "Hi!"
