Hello! My name is Mallory Schneider and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Silver Lake Elementary School again this year! I long-term subbed at Silver Lake  during the 2017-2018 school year in kindergarten and third grade, but last year was my first year teaching my very own first grade class! I am so happy to stay in first grade again this year. We are going to have a fantastic year together!

I believe in authentic teaching and assessing, empowering students to be the best they can be, and recognizing the diverse students that come into my classroom to help them reach their personal goals. We all have to be lifelong learners to be successful in life! I hope to learn just as much from your children as they will learn from me this year!

I was born in Hurst but lived and went to elementary school in Geneva, Illinois. My family moved to San Ramon, California in 2006 and that is where I attended middle school and high school. I was the fourth graduating class from Dougherty Valley High School in 2013. I attended college at the University of Alabama where I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Education through the Multiple Abilities Program in 2017. After graduating, I moved back home with my parents to start my teaching career in Texas. I subbed in GCISD my first year out of college and this will be my second year teaching at THE place to be in the BEST district ever!

I love working with children, spending time with my family and friends, anything Disney-related, Target, and watching football, especially Alabama football... Roll Tide!!!

I am looking forward to a great year with my new first grade friends! We are going to have so much fun learning and growing together!
