Welcome to Second grade!

Hello There! My name is Katheryn Martinez and this is my eighth year teaching at Silver Lake! I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I was born and raised in Irving, TX. I live in Keller with my husband and three children. Growing up, I was always inspired by my older brother who recently graduated from Texas A&M with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. I have always been driven to change and influence our younger generations. I plan to accomplish this by meeting their individual needs in the classroom. I look forward to meeting everyone and I am excited to get this year started. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email or stop by my classroom, my door is always open.
