Danyelle Burgess

Hello!  I am so excited to be teaching second grade at Silver Lake Elementary!! I look forward to teaching your child this year! We are going to have a fun year of learning and growing!! Let me tell you a little about myself... I graduated from University of North Texas with my degree in elementary education. I have taught first grade, second grade, third grade, and worked in special education. Brian and I have three boys. Braxton is a junior at the University of Arkansas, Blake is a freshman at  the University of Arkansas, and Bryson is a sophomore at CHHS. My children have all attended Silver Lake Elementary. I have been a parent, volunteer, room parent, paraprofessional in Special Education, and classroom teacher at Silver Lake Elementary. I love our school!!! I look forward to this chapter in my life as I continue to pursue my passion…teaching and blessing the lives of children.
Why I choose teaching....
I became a teacher to help children grow both educationally and emotionally. I want my students to have a better self-esteem and confidence level after they have been in my classroom. I want my students to know that they are smart and can achieve anything they set their mind on doing. I hope to teach my students to have an optimistic and positive view of life. The love of learning is something I want to pass on to my students.
